This is a brilliant opportunity for an individual who is a proven finance and accounting professional who is now looking to take the next step of their career.

This is a newly created position as a result of the continuous growth of the business, and you will be reporting directly into the Financial Controller.

Duties:

  • Prepare monthly management reports for the business along with supporting analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Produce monthly board report, including commentaries to explain variances to budget/forecast.
  • Calculate and process all monthly journals, including accruals, prepayments and depreciation.
  • Reconcile intercompany balances, ensuring any differences are investigated and resolved.
  • Complete the year end close and reconciliation process.
  • Assist the Finance team in the review and consolidation of the groups budget/forecast.
  • Support Head of Finance and wider UK Finance team on ad hoc projects and finance requests.

This role would be suitable for a someone with a transactional finance background and someone who is studying/qualified AAT.

 

The role is working for a large global organisation so previous experience of working in a fast paced transactional role within an enterprise level business is mandatory for this role.

 

Duties

• Review Purchase Order requests and that all supporting documentation provided clearly evidences the nature of the request

• Create accurate POs in a timely manner

• Run unapproved and un-unconfirmed PO Reports weekly and resolve in a timely manner

• Review Purchase Order Detail Report on a weekly basis and closing out POs no longer required

• Assessing open POs and chasing missing costs from suppliers

• Daily review and processing of supplier invoices

• Review Debt report weekly and assist team in chasing and escalating aged items

Joining a busy and friendly department, this role sits within the Finance Operations team and is heavily focused on the Accounts Payable ledger and Expenses and will work closely with the business and production teams.

 

To be a suitable candidate it is essential that you Accounts Payable experience and have the aptitude to work within a fast paced, creative environment. You will need to possess excellent communication skills and have the confidence to interact with all levels of colleagues around the business.

 

Duties:

 

  • Maintain and reconcile the accounts payable ledger from receipt of invoice through to payment
  • Check and upload statements & VAT on invoices and query any anomalies
  • Ensure all invoices are coded correctly and allocate to the relevant cost centres
  • Gain authorisation from budget holders for payment
  • Process expenses on the system, ensuring all information is correct and all required receipts are received to allow for payment
  • Assist with setting up and processing payments runs
  • Reconciliation of company credit cards and statements on a monthly basis
  • Manage distribution and reconciliation of production floats
  • Resolve any purchase invoice related queries both internally and with suppliers

Reporting to the Sales Ledger Manager, you will be committed to working as part of an effective team, working closely with the Finance, Sales and Operations on the Glasgow site. This role will predominately cover the accounts receivables activities with ad-hoc support to the wider finance team.

 

Duties:

 

  • Review transactions, ensuring accuracy of charges
  • Raise and issue sales invoices to customers, providing follow up copies or additional information as requested
  • Track outstanding billing and identify actions to move to fully invoiced stage
  • Ensure invoicing queries are resolved in a timely manner, involving operations and sales teams as required
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and accuracy of invoicing
  • Support Head of Finance during month end process and accurate recognition of revenue
