Oliver Smith Recruitment are working with a well-known international global operation to recruit a Payroll Supervisor on a permanent basis. This is an end-to-end payroll role in which you will have exposure to the whole payroll process from setting up new employees all the way through to the HMRC submissions.

 

This role reports directly into the Head of Finance and will look after the payroll for over multiple different sites. They have a strong emphasis on their people and offer some great benefits within this role.

 

Duties:

  • Manage a small payroll team to ensure staff are paid in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure all HMRC reporting requirements are met.
  • Ensure that any new sites are implemented correctly.
  • Assist the wider team with any training and/or support requirements.
  • Analyse the actual pay and compare it to budgeted pay.

 

We are looking for someone with strong experience within payroll who wants to come in and hit the ground running. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has management experience and wants to work within a growing environment for a fantastic local business.

Oliver Smith Recruitment are working in partnership with our key client in Glasgow to recruit a Payroll Manager on a permanent basis.

 

This role will be based at our clients HQ in the Glasgow Southside.

 

You’ll report directly to the Financial Director and take on full responsibility for the company’s payroll.

 

Duties:

  • Processing payrolls from start to finish
  • Setting up PAYE schemes
  • Dealing with HMRC and client queries
  • Pension scheme set up (NEST)
  • Uploading pension contributions
  • Advising on statutory benefits
  • knowledge and ability to assist colleagues where required
  • Processing year ends, P11ds, P60s etc.

 

Qualifications, Experience & Skills: 

  • Relevant experience in processing multiple client payrolls from start to finish.
  • BACS payments
  • An understanding of PAYE compliance.
  • Up to date knowledge of payroll legislation.
  • Experience in manging Auto Enrolment pension schemes
  • An understanding of key filing deadlines.
  • The ability to work accurately and calmly under pressure.
  • The ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • The ability to manage own workload.
  • A flexible approach.
  • Good IT skills – including use of Excel template importing of data

Oliver Smith Recruitment are working in partnership with our key client in Glasgow to hire a Credit Control / Cashier specialist on a permanent basis.

 

Your new role:

 

You will be supporting the Finance Manager updating cashflows, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, Intercompany accounts, supporting the month end process, accruals & prepayments, posting journals and complex reconciliations. You will be working in a vibrant and upbeat team and be a key member of the finance function.

 

What you’ll need to succeed:

You need to be able to demonstrate delivery of Accounts Payable and Accounts receivable, complex reconciliations, intercompany accounts across 5 entities, accruals & prepayments, posting journals and have excellent customer service for internal and external stakeholders. You will be a proactive team member and be keen to join a vibrant organisation.
