Oliver Smith Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading global organisation in their search for a strong commercial Finance Business Partner / Management Accountant based in East Kilbride.

 

Our client is looking for someone to take on the day to day responsibility for the Finance function, including preparing Management Accounts, providing analysis and support to the Business Managers and helping to drive the business forward.

 

This is a newly created position.

 

Duties:

 

  • Support Business Managers around the UK in the financial control of their areas, reviewing and explaining analysis of results and proposing improvements
  • Assist in the development of financial controls
  • Management accounts production including production and posting of journals and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Strong involvement in the day-to-day work of finance, AP and AR
  • Work with the Senior Finance Manager in controlling and reporting on the cashflow
  • Assist in the development of product-level cost and profitability analysis
  • Work with the Finance Manager and Head of Finance to develop regular KPI and profit reporting and analysis for use by key stakeholders across the business
  • Assist the Head of Finance with ad hoc duties and projects

Credit Controller

Oliver Smith Recruitment are working in partnership with our key client in Glasgow to hire a Credit Control specialist on a permanent basis.

 

You will be working in a small knit finance team reporting to the Head of finance.

 

Alongside Credit Control, there is an opportunity to take on wider finance duties. This is a great opportunity for someone with 1–3 years credit control experience who is looking to expand their finance skills.

 

• Responsible for collection of debt via telephone and email. Good telephone manners are essential.

• Weekly cash flow forecasting

• Liaising with finance team on disputed accounts

• Setting credit limits and payment terms

• Creating customer accounts on a system

• Overseeing service and utility charge

• Raising and tracking credit notes

• Improving the collection and billing processes

• Opportunity to take on wider finance responsibilities

Management Accountant

This is a brilliant opportunity for an individual who is a proven finance and accounting professional who is now looking to take the next step of their career.

 

This is a newly created position as a result of the continuous growth of the business, and you will be reporting directly into the Financial Controller.

 

We are looking for an excellent Technical Accountant who is up to date with accounting standards and knowledge of group consolidation. Strong interpersonal skills, managing relationships with multiple stakeholders.

 

Duties:

 

  • Prepare monthly management reports for the business along with supporting analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Produce monthly board report, including commentaries to explain variances to budget/forecast.
  • Calculate and process all monthly journals, including accruals, prepayments and depreciation.
  • Reconcile intercompany balances, ensuring any differences are investigated and resolved.
  • Complete the year end close and reconciliation process.
  • Assist the Finance team in the review and consolidation of the groups budget/forecast.
  • Support Head of Finance and wider UK Finance team on ad hoc projects and finance requests.

Oliver Smith Recruitment are working exclusively with our key client in Paisley to hire a Sales Ledger specialist on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Sales Ledger Manager, you will be committed to working as part of an effective team, working closely with the Finance, Sales and Operations on the Paisley site. This role will predominately cover the accounts receivables activities with ad-hoc support to the wider finance team.

Duties:

  • Review transactions, ensuring accuracy of charges
  • Raise and issue sales invoices to customers, providing follow up copies or additional information as requested
  • Track outstanding billing and identify actions to move to fully invoiced stage
  • Ensure invoicing queries are resolved in a timely manner, involving operations and sales teams as required
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and accuracy of invoicing
  • Support Head of Finance during month end process and accurate recognition of revenue
